Dr. Nicholas Patellis is Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 2006. He graduated from New Jersey
Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry in 2003 and completed his Residency for Internal Medicine at Temple University
Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He worked as a Hospitalist and as an Internist in New Jersey, moved to Alabama in 2009
and worked for the VA Medical Center Outpatient Clinic for almost two years before starting his private practice in 2011.
Dr. Patellis established Tennessee Valley Internal Medicine to continue his practice in Internal Medicine for Madison County
and the Northern Alabama Community. His interests include preventive medicine, management of chronic medical conditions
and providing acute care medicine for adolescents and adults.
Additionally, Dr. Patellis
has served with the New Jersey Army National Guard as a Medical Officer and currently is with the Alabama Army National Guard.
He has served as the Medical Officer for the Warriors in Transition at Redstone Arsenal in 2009 and most recently served as
the Brigade Surgeon in 2011 in Kabul, Afghanistan.
